Expert Marine Surveyor & Consultancy Services
Specialized maritime inspection and consultancy services. As a certified Master Mariner and member of the Colegio de Marinos Mercantes de Tamaulipas, we offer comprehensive inspection and consultancy services for both government and private sector clients. Our expertise includes maritime legal advisory, IACS compliant supervision, tank container certification, and accurate tonnage measurement. We also provide services to underwriters, including damage assessments, draft surveys, bunker surveys, and customized training programs. We are available for projects in both national and international waters.
Development of Maritime Safety Management Manuals
At SURVEMEX, we develop specialized manuals in compliance with the ISM Code and NOM-036-SCT4-2007. Our service is aimed at vessels with a gross tonnage equal to or greater than 500 GT under the ISM Code, and smaller tonnage under the NOM-036-SEMAR-2007, whether due to regulatory requirements or voluntary compliance. We also prepare manuals for shore-based maritime offices subject to national and international regulations. We provide documentation support during audits to ensure each manual accurately reflects the vessel’s real operations and facilitates its approval by SEMAR and classification societies.
Legal Maritime Advice
Maritime regulations can be complex at the international level. If you are a shipowner, operator, or charterer and need guidance on a legal matter related to your vessel, barge, cargo, or facility in Mexico, we can provide legal advisory and representation in support of your company or legal firm, if required.
IACS Supervision
If you have a vessel or barge that requires repair or dry-docking, we can provide supervision services to monitor and accurately report on shipyard activities, in accordance with the requirements and agreements established with your classification society. This ensures that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with international technical standards.
Tonnage Admeasurement
We offer measurement services for vessels and barges that have been structurally modified. We can certify Gross Registered Tonnage (GRT) and Net Registered Tonnage (NRT) using internationally recognized methods, accurately determining their internal capacity.
Tank Container Services
We have experience supervising periodic inspections (every two and a half to five years) of tank containers, in collaboration with Silver/CIMS LLC Inspection Services, Inc., a Texas-based company authorized by DNV. We also provide technical training for tank container testing facilities to ensure compliance with the requirements of the IMDG Code issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Services to Marine Underwriters
We provide services to underwriters to carry out Marine Warranty Survey inspections before and during special operations, in order to verify proper compliance with procedures. We also perform post-incident inspections to verify repairs and monitor their progress, ensuring compliance with the terms established in the insurance policies.
Ship Condition Inspection
To assess the administrative, operational, and structural condition of a vessel prior to its purchase or charter (On-Hire), we conduct detailed inspections, either generic or customized to the client’s specific requirements, thus supporting the decision-making process.
